You Me At Six (Sep 3)

English pop-punk band hits our shores early September for the very first time. They will be packing out the SCAPE Ground Theatre where they’ll be sure to amp up their antics on stage while delivering their brand of energetic, singalong pop-punk music.

Leslie Low Living Room Sessions

Widely known for fronting one of Singapore’s greatest bands, The Observatory, Leslie Low has always been active in pursuing his solo projects and is releasing his latest record No Such Thing As Ghosts this month, along with a nifty idea of bringing gigs into your house. Leslie will be performing the songs up close in a few cosy spaces this month so drop by one!

Coma (Sep 6)

From Penang, post-rock band Coma will be triple-billing with our local acts; experimental/funk/neo-soul outfit Neo Dominatrix, and progressive rock band In Each Hand A Cutlass. Drawing influences from bands like Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Mono, Mogwai amongst others, Coma’s sound is heavy and solid, and definitely most original.

Sighborg (Sep 6)

After a invigorating set at Baybeats this year, Korea-based, US-born Sighborg are returning to showcase their spectacular math-y, smart indie-tronica sound. The most amazing thing is probably that it is only two people manning all the instruments to achieve this total sonic parade - you’ve gotta see it for yourself.

Exhibitors EP Launch (Sep 6)

After much hard work, hardcore group Exhibitors will be launching their debut EP The World As We Know It, along with some other friends such as hardcore, post-hardcore, and post rock bands like Hollow Threat, Straight Forward, False Plaintiff, 7nightsatsea, Cultures, and Tell Lie Vision. If you want your music heavier and beefier, here’s one to keep tabs on.

Anberlin (Sep 12)

Saying goodbye is always a dreadful affair so we’re expecting a lot of tears and spirited sing-alongs when Anberlin plays their final show here. The Floridian alternative rock group, known for their heartfelt and inspirational lyrics, will be breaking up after 12 years of selling out venues and building fanbases all around the world. Marking their fourth (and final) appearance in Singapore, you can’t afford to miss them this time if you’ve yet to see them live.

Blue Hawaii (Sep 14)

The Montreal-based band Blue Hawaii will be in town for their maiden Singaporean show, bringing their hazy lo-fi soundscapes to Life is Beautiful Kitchen & Bar. Supporting them would be upcoming local producer FZPZ, who already made an impression during the Phyla Digital showcase at Esplanade. The combination of FZPZ’s jazz-inflicted beats and Blue Hawaii’s dreamy electronic music will surely result in a sublime night come September 14th.

YG Family Galaxy Tour (Sep 14)

it is going to be a family affair when one of the biggest South Korean record label and talent agency YG Entertainment is bringing down their YG Family 2014 Galaxy Tour: Power in Singapore mega concert to our island. Psychedelic-tinged alternative rock band Ellipsis have been involved in the Noise Singapore programme for a while now and now they are ready to launch their second EP Permanent Distractions with a couple of new songs that we have yet to hear. Head down to the Esplanade Waterfront to catch the group in action and purchase some band merchandise!

Biffy Clyro (Sep 15)

Scottish alt-rock band have made the transition from spiky teenage misfits to anthemic alternative rockers and since, won the Best British Band of 2013’s NME Awards. It’s their first time in Singapore, but you can count on them to put on a good show - like they always do, judging from the YouTube videos out there - at the Hard Rock Coliseum.

F1 Grand Prix (Sep 19-21)

F1’s back again for another year of high-octane racing and the festivities are never complete without a line-up of stellar acts. This time, they’ll be led by urban pop diva Jennifer Lopez with British pop-star and swing revivalist Robbie Williams, Taiwanese rock band Mayday, US soul singer John Legend, British synth-pop masters Pet Shop Boys and the one and only Ziggy Marley. Scala & Kolacny (Sep 30)

If you’ve seen the trailer for the film The Social Network, you’ve probably heard this group’s haunting rendition of Radiohead’s ‘Creep’. After a string of successful covers and original material, the all-female women’s choir be performing here at the Star Theatre. Lead by brothers Stijn and Steven Kolacny, they’ll be bringing along their famed theatrical stage act along with a repertoire of new material and recognisable hits; which may just include “Goodil” by our very own The Stone Revivals.
